REVIEW: Nutox Oxyfusion Advanced Serum Concentrate & Birds's Nest Essence

Hello everyone.

I wanted to review on other brands but I gotta finish reviewing Nutox's line that I used. I actually used almost all their products and I will review all of them (which I have been using for more than 3 months or so). Today I would like to review on their serum and essence. As I mentioned from previous post regarding their emulsion, I bought Nutox Oxyfusion Advanced Serum Concentrate along in a package with their emulsion. It costs me approximately RM90 for the package for the normal size (30ml). Separate bottle will costs RM65.90 for a bottle of approximately 22 USD. I have finished using this serum as I love love love this serum. It lasts me for more than 3 months - usage of twice a day, 1 to 2 pumps each. I don't have the bottle anymore so I have to "steal" it from the internet. Sorry!

Nutox Oxyfusion Advanced Serum Concentrate

I couldn't find what they actually claimed for this serum but as I was told by the lady promoter, this acts as serum. LOL. I used this before their emulsion for day while for night, I used it before their essence and night cream (this is in accordance of their direction of use of all their products stated in a brochure but I threw it away). Basically it is a concentrate of all the goodness they actually offer and that is the reason why it is the most expensive of all their products in the Oxyfusion range.

Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Yeast Beta-Glucan, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Fructan, Polysorbate 20, Actinidia Polygama Fruit Extract, Fragrance, Tetrasodium EDTA, Artemisia Capillaris Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citric Acid, Glycerin, Swiftlet Nest extract, Cyclomethicone, Propylene Glycol, Lecithin, Alcohol Denat., Disodium Phosphate, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ascorbyl Palmitate,Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone.

I really love this serum as it does not break me out. It also helps in smoothen my skin instantly and giving me the good glow I really love. It does not refines my enlarged pores but it does help in even out skin tone and texture. The lady promoter also said that it is supposed to reduce whiteheads and blackheads but it does not seem to be any changes on mine. My friends said that my skin tone is even out and they even said that my skin feels so smooth. They were shocked that it improves my skin so well and didn't break me out. I suggested this to my friend but she only used the wrinkle away cleanser. She said it broke her out and she discontinued using it. I think the best method is to use the whole range - the main ones - to achieve best results. The glass bottle is simple and slightly transparent with plastic red cap. Its actually a pump bottle and the texture of the serum is thicker than water. Its exactly like the liquid glue, kids often use and it smells so nice - like a fresh scent. Its not strong and its disappeared after its absorbed. Andddd it absorbs quite fast too. I am not sure which of their range helps to balance out my sebum but I think this serum did the most job. Regarding on wrinkles, I don't see much changes on my minor wrinkles. I often dab this serum gently on my eye contour areas too and it does help reducing dark circles but it is not too significant.

My ratings:

Effectiveness: ★★★★☆ (I love it but only if it does refine my enlarged pores and reduce whiteheads and blackheads)

Bottle: ★★★★★ (simple and hygienic with the pump)

Price: ★★★☆☆ (expensive! I wanted to continue using it but I decided to try other brands because of its price)

Long term effectiveness: ★★★★☆ (I only used a bottle of this but it lasts me forever and the result maintains the same)

Overall, I do recommend this to whoever out there. From dry skin to oily skin, it is suitable for all. You can even use this as an addition to your current skincare regime and it does wonder. But do take note that for major wrinkles, I think it needs more time to be reduced.

My next review is on Nutox Oxyfusion Bird's Nest Essence. When I first start to use this brand, I bought their emulsion, serum, exfoliator, bb cream and free wrinkle away cleanser with astringent. I didn't expect to be using this essence as I thought "essence and serum, what's the difference?" I searched through a lot of sources and my friend did recommend me to use essence too as it will improve the results. With my motivated spirit to bring back my beauty to the top, I bought a bottle of this essence for RM50 of approximately 18 USD for 30ml. Man it's expensive. LOL. I finished the bottle before I reviewed this thus the stealing begins.

Nutox Oxyfusion Bird's Nest Essence

I do not know the difference between essence and serum as I understand that both indicates concentration of something? Nope, I didn't do any research on this matter. I bought this alone after a week I used this brand without the help of promoter so I really don't know what it claims. I threw away the box and the bottle and I regret it. A lot.

Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Polyacrylamide, Palmaria Palmata Extract, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Phenoxyethanol, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Sodium Citrate, Sea Water, Swiftlet Nest Extract, Butylene Glycol, Fragrance, Laureth-7, Ethylhexylglycerin, Bisabolol, Disodium Edta, Tocopheryl Acetate, Bht, Methylisothiazolinone, Tris (Tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol) Citrate, Chlorphenesin, Cynara Scolymus (Artichoke) Leaf Extract

Since this essence is really really little, I meant 30ml for a tall bottle. I felt cheated with the size of the bottle. LOL. It comes with a pump too in an opaque white bottle. I don't know about the result of this specific item as for few conditions. 1, I think I bought an expired essence from Watsons since it smells funny and its color is too yellowy. It doesn't seem right since I tried a tester from other shop and its color is not too yellowy, just a pale pastel yellow. 2, I continued using it because IT IS EXPENSIVE and I read somewhere that a beauty product will expires after 3 years of manufacturing date. The manufacturing date was around 2010, and I finished this bottle before 2013, so yeah. 3, I used this every night in between my serum and my night cream thus I can't really judge the significant effects. The scent is like yogurt and the texture is almost the same as their emulsion, light cream or lotion like. It absorbs rather fast thus the reason why I didn't feel so heavy after putting on three different products on my skin every night. I think the reason why it didn't break me out with those three layers is the combination of these three products every night - their serum, essence and night cream. I will wake up with an oily skin but it makes me glow after washing. It lasts me for more than three months, usage of once a day, a pump or two.

My ratings:

Effectiveness: ★★★☆☆ (average since it does not do much but its good with the combination of serum and night cream)

Bottle: ★★★☆☆ (felt cheated with the tall bottle of very small amount but it is hygienic)

Price: ★★☆☆☆ (doesn't do much but it is pricey)

Long term effectiveness: ★★★☆☆ (average because I was disappointed with the expiration thingy thus I did not continue purchasing it but it does help with the combination of the another two products)

Overall, I do not recommend this for those who already bought the serum as I really think it is basically the same thing. It doesn't do much and its like a bottle need to be finished asap because it is expensive but the feeling of pity to not use it. LOL. I hope these reviews help!

Regards
