REVIEW: Neogence Aminoacid Cleansing Mousse

Hello everyone.

While I was waiting for my facial soap to arrive (which took me 3 weeks), I suddenly ran out of my facial soap that I was in desperate need of one. Wrong move, I decided to take a look at Sasa if they have any good facial cleanser with smaller (trial size to be exact) tube. Its because I know that my cleanser will arrive in no time, I wanted to purchase only a small tube but too bad, I was deadly influenced. The lady promoter asked me what kind of cleanser do I want and I said, "mousse please!" And because the lady promoter used it for months now and she looks pretty awesomely flawless, I ACCIDENTALLY bought Neogence Aminoacid Cleansing Mousse. I hesitated at first because the bottle is huge! I asked for trial size but they don't have any. Sad case, I decided to purchase it anyway. It costs me RM50 of approximately 16 USD for 180ml. I never heard of this brand before actually and its from Taiwan. Here are the photos.

Product

The box and the bottle is pretty simple. White and tinted orange. It comes in a tall bottle just like the picture of a bottle on the box. The mousse is very soft and there's no watery residue when I pump it on my palm. I actually compare with other brands and this mousse is very fluffy and its the best mousse I found so far. The product itself is very mild with pH 5.5 (neutral pH). The scent is almost scentless, more towards medicine kind of smell but it does not bother me at all as it is very light. It glides on my skin so nicely and it feels so soft on my skin. Here are the photos of the bottle and the mousse.

How I use it

I use one pump each time twice a day. One pump is more than enough for the whole face and it does not even get diluted or something. Some mousse cleanser gets diluted after massaging it on skin for awhile and I need to keep on adding more mousse to make my skin feels more bubbly but not for this cleanser. I am very tempted to massage this mousse on my skin and I can't stop massaging because it feels so good. So fluffy and soft. Often I will massage my face with this mousse 1 to 3 minutes before rinsing it off. It felt really refreshing after usage and no tight feeling afterwards (which it happened to almost all facial cleansers I tried before). It took me 3 months to finish the whole bottle and I finally done few days ago.

Effects

At first I was worried and skeptical on the efficacy of a mild facial cleanser until I actually use this one. I love it! My skin is combination to oily skin that tends to get oily on my T-zone by the end of the day but not after using this cleanser. I was amazed on how it happens to be so effective regardless how mild it is. It does not even stripped out my natural oils that makes my skin so balanced out between dryness and oiliness. My U-zone tends to get dry and flaky often and I never get that since I use this cleanser.

Of course, since it is a mild cleanser, its only meant to clean the skin, not to promote other benefits like acne prevention, whitening etc. I love how it balanced out my oils that it helps in reducing excessive sebum secretion which may also cause acne. I didn't expect too much on this cleanser as it does not claim so but my skin felt smooth and soft after awhile of usage. It does not break me out too!

Effectiveness: ★★★★★ (its a mild cleanser but it works wonder!)

Bottle: ★★★☆☆ (its too simple and okay for me as its hygienic, nothing catchy)

Price: ★★★☆☆ (as a mild cleanser, its actually pretty expensive especially for me as a student but its worth it!)

Long term effect: ★★★★★ (throughout the whole 3 months, it never break me out and the effects maintained until I finished the bottle. Love it!)

Overall, I do highly recommend this especially to those with sensitive skin or like mine or all types of skin. LOL. It works for everybody! I can't complain more. I will repurchase this if I couldn't find any better cleanser. But of course, there's not much to expect from this cleanser on other benefits like anti-aging, whitening, acne solution etc. From my opinion, cleansers don't do much on solving particular instances, creams do. Cleanser is something we just wash off and it does not even stays on the skin for hours. The best facial routine is to use the best cleanser that suits you even if its not within the range of brand you are currently using for creams. A good cleanser does not strips off natural oils secreted by the body while cleaning up dirt and impurities. The best cleanser that suits our skin is the one without giving tight feeling afterwards.
