I think I have become face mask addict since I really love my Cyber C'kin SOS mask which I have posted my personal review previously. After I finished that mask, I decided to purchase a new mask but before I even purchase any mask, I've read few reviews regarding the best face masks especially Asian products. I found out that there are so many reviews on My Beauty Diary Mask. Many of the reviews prefer the aloe vera mask from this brand so I decided that I want to try that version of this brand. I went to Sasa to ask them regarding this brand and that lady promoter showed me few boxes of this brand. I was shocked because I don't want to purchase a whole lot. I want to try only one mask but they don't sell in pieces so for those who really want to purchase My Beauty Diary mask, think twice before buying any. And do a lot of reading regarding the reviews of it to get the best out of this brand. But, some online stores sell this mask in pieces too. I asked her which one is the best version and she said that the hyaluronic acid mask version is their best seller. I decided to try My Beauty Diary Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mask first (of course I am easily influenced). It costs me RM39.90 of approximately 12 USD for 10 pieces. You can get better price for as low as RM30 through online purchasing in some beauty online stores so please compare prices first. I used this mask three times already and I must say that the results are pretty decent. Here are the photos.

This mask is not most of reviewers' preference and it also received lesser stars to compare with the aloe vera version. I must say, I am pretty disappointed with my ability to repel myself from getting easily influenced. Since I bought it already, I gotta finish it. I think the packaging of this mask is very cute. It is simple and light blue in color. I kinda like it although at first I was a bit frustrated because the packaging looks different than most pictures posted by reviewers. OMG the ingredients are endless. It is frustrating that it contains so many harmful ingredients but the results are still okay. The essence is glue like in color and it smells refreshing. Its not overpowering and it is really soothing. The eye holes are pretty big because it does not cover my eyelids but it does cover my lower lids well. I think it is depending on preference as I do prefer my eyelids to be covered as well. The nose hole is okay and it is quite long so it covers many types of nose well. The mouth hole is too lowered that my upper lip tends to be covered. I need to constantly push the upper lip part of the mask to prevent it from covering my upper lip. I don't love this mask but I think its good for a quick fix on my skin. I do have combination to oily skin and I do have U-zone (especially mouth area) that gets a little dry and flaky at times if I used unsuitable facial cleanser. The mask is folded in the sachet so I need to unfold the mask first before usage. The good thing about this mask is that it has a plastic layer underneath the mask to prevent the mask from sticking together thus eases unfolding. How I use it
The mask is still pretty wet after usage and this time I decided not to squeeze the mask to get the excess essence out from the mask because I don't feel like I need the essence on my skin any thicker. Of course I do like this mask but this mask doesn't do much on the same time. This mask is pretty thick and it does not rip easily but I found out that most reviewers said that this mask rips easily. I guess you really need to be very gentle while unfolding and patting the mask while usage. The essence in the mask is quite sufficient and okay but the there are not much essence left in the sachet. The mask absorbs the essence in the sachet quite well though. Usage must not be more than 30 minutes.

I did left the essence on my skin overnight and it caused me break out! I really hate break outs but it is not severe. Later on I found out that when I use this mask without thick essence left on my skin (without squeezing the excess essence out from the mask) and after few hours I rinsed it away then there should not be much break outs problem. It didn't break me out since and I get to feel the goodness as well! Previously, I did 5% glycolic peel and it caused my nose area to feel slight burning sensation throughout the whole evening. It is painful especially on the corner of my nose so I decided to use this mask to sooth it out. I put the mask in the fridge for 15 minutes then after cleaning my face with my mild cleanser, I put this mask on. The burning feeling I felt immediately disappeared and it amazes me. I was thinking, maybe because the essence covered the dry burning skin so it soothes the pain temporarily so I decided to test the essence by rinsing it off an hour after the mask removed. The burning sensation just simply disappeared and never to return. I was happy with that result and I think it is really good in soothing dry flaky skin.

Effectiveness: ★★★★☆ (I wish I could leave it overnight for a better effect but it breaks me out, still the results are okay because it does most of what it claimed)
Packaging: ★★★★☆ (it is very cute! and clean)
Price: ★★★☆☆ (I can get better working mask with this price)
Long term effect: ★★★★☆ (since I used this only three times I couldn't judge better but the fact that after rinsing the results stay so I think it deserves a four)
Overall, I do recommend this to those who have dry skin that tends to get flaky at times. I don't find this mask useful to retain hydration but it is helpful to retain moisture. If you are undergoing chemical peel, I do suggest this mask to sooth your skin if your skin tends to get a little bit painful at times while peeling. Of course aloe vera is better to sooth burning skin but this mask does a good job as well. No brightening effect seen but my skin felt soft and supple post usage. I hope this review helps!
