REVIEW: Sasatinnie Rose Hip Oil Tightening & Rejuvenating Silky Mask

Hello everyone.

Its been awhile since I post any review so today I will review on a new mask I recently purchased and this review is after first time usage (which is yesterday LOL). The mask is Sasatinnie Rose Hip Oil Tightening & Rejuvenating Silky Mask. At first I was a bit skeptical as I never heard of Sasatinnie before. A month ago I went on "window shopping" in Sasa. I hate entering Sasa. Seriously. Not because its bad but because I can never held on my own promise to ONLY window shopping. I asked the lady promoter (which is a super bad idea if you are easily influenced) of the best eyeliner that does not smudge easily with a drugstore price. So she introduced me Sasatinnie's eyeliner. She told me its the best eyeliner they got and I asked them what's Sasatinnie. She said its Sasa's product line so from that moment I just knew that Sasa has their own product line. It is very cheap so I decided to give it a go. And I love it! From that moment onward too, I never get skeptical on Sasatinnie. Few days back I went to Sasa to purchase foot masks and I saw Sasatinnie's face mask. I decided to purchase Sasatinnie's face mask on tightening purpose as the lady promoter said it will help in reducing my enlarged pores. It actually has few other types of masks (i.e. brightening) but I am kinda tired of "brightening" promises so I tried this. They only sell in a box of 10 pieces and it costs me only RM22 after discount of approximately 7 USD (actual price RM29.90). Here are the photos.

Product & how I use it

Truth is the packaging is pretty cute but I don't fond pink color. They do sell deep moisturizing mask which is green in color box (and I almost purchase that because I really love green) but since I aim to reduce my enlarged pores, I told myself packaging doesn't matter (for just that moment). LOL. Here are the claims:

"The moisture-locking 0.2 mm feather-like cotton made of plant fibre from Japan holds 100% essence. With ECO ingredients, it allows complete penetration to the deep skin.

Tighten skin and revive skin’s rebound. Enhance skin’s defense, smooth wrinkles and prevent loosen of skin by Rose Hip Oil rich in Vitamin C. Empower skin’s moisture holding ability by ECO Rose Floral Water. Promotes collagen generation by Pepha-Tight. Reveal skin's radiance and elasticity.

Suitable for all skin types especially with large pores and loosen skin."

I am so sorry but this time when I saw their ingredients I was like OMG that is a lot to type on so please refer to the photos I provided for ingredients reference (click the image to enlarge). Anyways, I forgot to take the picture of the mask before I use it because I was too excited. The mask in the sachet is folded and a thin plastic (that shaped like the mask itself) is placed under the mask to provide ease during unfolding. The plastic layer will prevent the wet mask to stick together so that when you unfold it, the tendency to rip the mask will be reduced. Basically it is almost the same with My Beauty Diary mask on the plastic layer and also the thickness of the the mask which is pretty thick to my liking but it doesn't bother me that much. Here is the photo of the mask after 30 minutes of usage. It looks pretty dry because I actually squeezed the mask to get the excess essence in it to be pat on my neck and hands.

The mask (after usage)

As you can see, the holes on the eye area is rather small and it fits my eyes perfectly. It covers my eyelids and my under eye area well which is a plus for me as I think those areas shouldn't be ignored too. Some people prefer the eyeholes to be bigger to avoid contact with eye area so it depends on your preference. The mouth and nose holes are quite okay to me. Nothing extraordinary. The scent of this mask is rose scent which is very soothing and I love it so much. I used this at night but I didn't left it overnight as I am currently undergoing 5% glycolic peel cycle which need to be used everynight for a given period of time and the peel cream cannot be mixed with other facial creams.

Effects

I love this mask! Yesterday I went all home facial routine that I started with deep cleaning my pores with other products including pore pack that by the end of those facial routine, my skin started to feel pretty "exposed" or I can say it is too clean I felt that I need something to sooth it down and close back the pores. I decided to use this mask and it work wonders! I cannot say it works by itself because I actually use other products first before this mask but this mask gave me the soothing feeling I love. No tingly feeling and my skin felt relaxed after all the harsh deep cleansing. Upon removal, the essence is so much that it takes a while to pat for it to absorb and I decided to let it absorb by itself after a lot of patting. No sticky feeling after it is absorbed but my skin do turns shiny (plastic kind of shine - not oily) because of the essence layer on my skin. I think it is normal for my skin to turn shiny after it dried (most sheet masks gave the same shine) plus I don't need to meet anyone during my sleep. LOL.

It does not reduce my wrinkles (though I don't have major wrinkles to judge better) but it does help in tightening pores. It is not significant but my skin felt so clean and smooth that I kept on touching it. I know my deep cleansing helps in removing blackheads and whiteheads that leads to the smooth results but with this baby, it helps in reducing visible pores. Now even after 24 hours usage, my skin still felt so smooth and my enlarged pores on my nose are seriously less visible just like after removal of the mask. I used this only for 30 minutes as directed. I had a bad experience on leaving masks (different brand) more than 30 minutes and it caused me break outs so please please please follow directions given.

My ratings:

Effectiveness: ★★★★☆ (its major claim is to reduce saggy skin and I gave it a 4 because I really hope my saggy skin reduced but nothing happened except for my pores)

Packaging: ★★★★☆ (it is cute and really easy to use especially how they ease the unfolding but if its green I will give it a 5)

Price: ★★★★☆ (man its cheap! It costs only RM2.20 for each mask and it does what I need it to do)

Long term effect: ★★★★☆ (I cannot judge better because I used this only after 24 hours but the results maintained and I am loving it)

Overall, I do recommend this mask for those who have problems with enlarged pores. I do not recommend to use this alone but you need to deep cleanse your skin first before usage so that it works much better. Basically, you cannot force a hole to close if there are things inside the hole. Its like you are trying to deflate a balloon with water inside. Only by removing the water that the balloon can deflate to its original size. If you have saggy skin or major wrinkles, you can still use it but bear in mind, it needs several usage before the result is significant. I hope this review helps!

Regards
