REVIEW: Cyber Colors Cyber C'kin Intensive SOS Treatment Mask

Hello everyone.

I wanted to review about this product long time ago but I tend to forget about it until I ran through my album and saw the picture of it. So here I am to review Cyber Colors Cyber C'kin Intensive SOS Treatment Mask. Forgive me but I didn't took any pictures of it except for this one.

Cyber Colors Cyber C'kin Intensive SOS Treatment Mask

Product

And forgive me for the other products around it because I didn't took the picture for the purpose of this review. Its just a random snap to show myself how much money I burnt. LOL. They call it "intensive SOS treatment" for a purpose. It actually covers all skin problems in 5 steps (which basically each step needs to use one mask) so there are no separate purchases for specific mask in the box. I bought this at Sasa for approximately RM40 of plus minus 12 USD. Each box contains 5 masks and need to be used according to the steps given. I no longer own the box so I took the claims at Sasa's website. Here are the claims:

"Cyber Colors Intensive SOS Treatment Mask improves your skin problems comprehensively in 9 days by 5 single steps.

It contains 5 sheets of mask with different efficacy and with different texture, different types of mask will assort with different ingredients in order to bring you an ultimate effect. It is recommended to apply the mask in an alternate day. Your skin will become flawless and supple once the 5-steps treatment is done.

There are 2 types of Masks:

  1. Nano-mask: It is just like your second layer of skin which could fit and lift up your face contour and help to enhance the nutrients absorption of skin.
  2. Silky cellulose mask: It is soft and made up of tiny fibers. Acts like a sponge to absorb and lock in all the nutrients, bringing the skin with abundant nutrients.

Step 1: Mugwort Pore Tightening Mask

Material: Silky Cellulose Mask

Mugwort Extracts could tighten pores while the salicylic acid provided by ilex extracts could soften skin, dissolve blackheads and prevent the formation of acnes. Making skin feel refreshed.

Step 2: Cucumber Moisturising and Soothing Mask

Material: Nano Mask

Cucumber extracts contains a high capacity of moisture which is a natural emollient for skin. It also contains several kinds of active ingredients, e.g. Vitamin C which helps to moisturize and soothe skin and enhance skin’s defensive power to fight against harmful factors from the environment. Bringing you a translucent and healthy skin.

Step 3: Lavender Anti-Wrinkles and Tightening Mask

Material: Nano Mask

Lavender Essence enhances skin’s moisture level, tightens skin and reduces wrinkles and fine lines. The refreshing lavender scent could soothe and awake dull skin and thus skin would become more elastic and radiant.

Step 4: Lily Whitening and Brightening Mask

Material: Silky Cellulose Mask

Lily Extracts contains Vitamin B3, a whitening complex which suppress the formation of melanin. In addition, the brightening formula helps to lock in skin’s moisture and promote the moisture restorative power, bringing you a supple and fair skin.

Step 5: Nourishing and Repairing Mask

Material: Nano Mask

Honey contains various kinds of moisturizing and anti-oxidizing ingredients which help to deeply nourish and repair the natural skin’s barrier and also enhance skin’s defensive power. At the same time, it helps to soften and repair rough skin, promote skin’s metabolism and thus bringing you a nourished and tender skin."

I am sorry but I couldn't find the ingredients elsewhere. The box is actually white in color with silver writings. When you see inside the box you will find out that they actually put it in order and every sachet of mask written "STEP 1 Pore Tightening Mask" and so on. It is really easy to use. The mask fits my face perfectly and that is the reason why I love this mask. It covers my eyelids and under eyes pretty well too! I am sorry but I can't show you the mask because I don't own it anymore but I will explain a little bit about the two types of masks they claimed about.

How I use it

The first one is Nano Mask. Nano Mask seems pretty average white colored mask but it is actually not. Behind the cottony layer of the mask, they have this one more layer of mask that looks like a fine net to me. It sticks together perfectly so don't bother to separate both of them as it is not easy to reattach perfectly. The net-like layer is supposed to be on the inside (which means the net should touch your skin). I think? Because I tried to find out which one is supposed to be on the outer part vice versa but no explanation could be found on the box. Plus, how they fold the mask that makes me understand that the net-like layer is supposed to be on the inner part.

The second one is Silky Cellulose Mask. This mask is a normal cottony white colored mask. If you have ever used masks like this, you will surely understand what I am talking about.

I found out that to compare with My Beauty Diary masks, this brand gives a thinner mask which eases the essence to absorb into the skin. I am pretty darn serious. LOL. Why? Because upon removal, there are not much of essence left on the mask as compared with other brands. I love this mask so much. I wish I repurchase but it is often out of stock. The essence contained is so much that you have to lie the sachet down a few degrees vertically (to avoid from the essence to come out from the sachet) while unfolding the mask. To compare again with My Beauty Diary mask, this brand does not provide plastic layers so the unfolding takes awhile and possibility to tear the mask is quite high. Luckily I didn't accidentally tear it up. But for the Nano Mask, unfolding gets a little bit easier as the net-like layer prevents the mask to stick together. The net-like layer is actually pretty uncomfortable at the beginning especially on my eye area but if I don't move my face too much it shouldn't be much of a problem. I poured the excess essence on my palm and rub it on top of the mask (which I have already wear it on) and the essence dripped like crazy. I decided to then rub the dripped essence on my neck and chest.

My regimes before the mask are, I will wash my skin with my facial cleanser. Then I will pat dry my skin and continue to gently exfoliate my skin with gentle exfoliators (I used Nutox Exfoliator or Cure Natural Aqua Gel). After rinsing, I will pat on my toner and I will then apply the mask after the toner absorbed. Removal is after 30 minutes. I do this only at night because I will leave the essence overnight. I used two masks a week with 2 to 3 days gap (for example step 1 on Sunday and step 2 on Thursday) and continue the gaps until the five steps are done.

Effects

I did something wrong at the beginning where I actually washed away the essence on my Step 1. I know I am a noob at masks. But turned out my skin still feels sooo good. My pores are actually less visible after usage (with the fact that my enlarged pores are getting out of hand) and it does not breaks me out at all! Every steps provide different texture and color of essence (there are colorless glue-like essence to white colored essence). Throughout the steps, these masks give pretty significant results except for the brightening mask which is step 4. The brightening mask caused me break outs and also super oily skin the next morning. Plus it does not give any significant brightening effect. But the break outs are not severe and I blame myself because while using this I was playing my favorite online game that I accidentally extended the usage to 45 minutes or so. Overall I love the results it gave me. Most of it is in accordance to their claims.

My ratings:

Effectiveness: ★★★★☆ (It works but only if the brightening mask does not breaks me out and I will give it a 5)

Packaging: ★★★☆☆ (simple and average, nothing catchy)

Price: ★★★★☆ (for a mask, it is pretty expensive as you can get other masks much cheaper than this or providing more than 5 masks but since the effect is lovable I think it is worth it)

Long term effect: ★★★★☆ (the effects didn't wear off after washing and I love it. I didn't repurchase as I love trying out new products but I am sure I will repurchase if I couldn't find any better ones)

Overall, I do highly recommend this mask because it works wonder! Talk about solving all problems in one box! I always have problem deciding which masks to use as I think my skin has more than one problem. I wanna reduce pores, I wanna brighten up my skin, I too want it to be hydrated and these "wants" will continue increasing. Am I right? LOL. I don't prefer masks with only one purpose in one box because I don't know if its even work. I don't prefer using 10 sheets of masks of the same purpose (i.e. My Beauty Diary masks) and need to purchase other box just because I want other results.

P/S: I don't have anything against My beauty Diary masks as their masks works well too. It is much easier to compare as these masks are what I have experienced before. About the explanation between Nano Mask and Silky Cellulose Mask, I may accidentally exchanged the names of the mask within my explanation but basically there are two types of masks and one of them is with net-like layer.

I hope this review helps!

Regards
