REVIEW: Nutox Oxyfusion Wrinkle Away Cleanser & Radiance Cleansing Gel

Hello everyone.

I've been talking about how my new concern on fighting sun damaged skin from my previous posts thus today I would like to introduce to you my first brand that makes me wanna go all radiant and glows. I don't basically indicate that this brand helps a lot but it does help in boosting my motivation. LOL. My first cleanser of this skincare regime is Nutox Oxyfusion Wrinkle Away Cleanser. I got this for free of 50ml (I think since I'm no longer using this cleanser) after buying its whole range from their emulsions to serum to peeling gel to bb cream. Yup, I know, I am easily influenced. After I have finished my wrinkle away cleanser, I bought myself their radiance cleansing gel. I'm still young thus wrinkle away cleanser don't seem suitable with my needs. I have to take the picture of their wrinkle away cleanser from the internet since I am no longer using it.

Nutox Oxyfusion Wrinkle Away Cleanser

I don't seem to find any of their official website except for their facebook account therefore I don't have the exact claims of this cleanser except from its tube itself (which I copy paste from random sites). What they claimed:

"This wonder cleanser contains BNest Collagen™, a youth-restoring ingredient extracted from 100% premium bird’s nest. Nutox Wrinkle Away helps skin regeneration while cleansing, to reveal fresher and younger-looking skin. Ideal for all skin type."

Ingredients: Aqua, Stearic Acid, Glycerine, Lauric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Myristic acid, PEG-75, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Polysorbate 20, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Phenoxyethanol, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrasodium EDTA, BHT, Swiftlet Nest, Matricaria Extract, Lecithin, Arbutin, Linolenic acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Rutin, Ubiquinone, Resveratrol, Cyclomethicone, Disodium phosphate, Tocopherol, Ascorbic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

I took the ingredients from cosdna since I cannot find any list of ingredients online. This cleanser is not a mild cleanser for my skin. I have combination to oily skin and this cleanser gives me a tight effect which I don't really prefer. The good thing about this cleanser is that I didn't get any breakouts until I finished the tube. The cleanser is normal cream cleanser that lathers up well. Its white in color and its scent is fresh scent and rather strong. Overall this cleanser does not have any special outcomes aside from does not break me out. It does not cause me dry flaky skin and it stabilize my sebum throughout the day which is a plus too. It states that it is paraben free which I love. But after I have made some minor research (thanks to Mr. Google), actually paraben is not the only ingredient that may cause cancer. There are many other ingredients that can cause cancer and paraben is a small part of it. So I think the rave about "paraben-free products" is basically just exaggerated raves for commercial purpose. As I mentioned earlier, I got this for free but the actual tube cost RM17 to RM20 (depending on where you buy it) which is approximately 6 USD for 100ml. Since it is made in Malaysia so I am not sure the availability of the product elsewhere except Malaysia and Philippines.

My ratings:

Effectiveness: ★★★★☆ (it does what it claims although not giving any significant improvements on my wrinkles and radiance)

Bottle: ★★★★★ (nothing special nor weaknesses)

Price: ★★★★☆ (very much affordable and the results are expected in accordance to the price)

Long term effectiveness: ★★★☆☆ (I am giving it an average rates because I only used it for one tube and I am not concern on wrinkles since I don't have major visible wrinkles)

Overall, I do recommend this cleanser for those with normal skin. It is a good cleanser as it cleanse well and it is a simple cleanser for everyday use. I don't see any significant changes in my minor wrinkles but my skin do feels softer and fresh everytime I wash my skin with this cleanser. It does stabilize my sebum but I think to those with oily skin, it is better to get a cleanser targeted for excess sebum.

My second cleanser after I finished the wrinkle away cleanser is Nutox Oxyfusion Radiance Cleansing Gel. I bought this cleanser for RM27 of approximately 9 USD for 150ml. And yes, I am still having my own bottle since I stopped using it halfway. Why? Keep calm and keep reading. Here are the pictures:

Ingredients and claims

What they claimed from the bottle:

"With the benefit of Birdnest Trinity™, this amazing cleansing gel hydrates, whitens and lifts as it cleanses without the tightening effect. Ideal for all skin type."

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer, Cocomidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Alaninate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Cocomide DEA, Polyquaternium-7, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Fragrance, Triethanolamine, Yeast Beta-Glucan, Tetrasodium EDTA, Cyclomethicone, Propylene Glycol, Lecithin, Alcohol Denat., Disodium Phosphate, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Caprylic/Caprice Triglyceride, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Disodium EDTA, Swiftlet Nest Extract, Magnesium Gluconate, Algae, Cichorium Intybus (Chicory) Root Extract, Maltose, Artemisia Capillaris Flower Extract, Actinidia Polygama Fruit Extract, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

From the ingredients, I can conclude that it uses a lot of acidic ingredients. This cleanser comes with a pump bottle that is very convenient. Its texture is transparent gel with a rather runny consistency. Basically it looks and feels like the normal gel cleanser. It smells strong too, fresh scent. The first time I used this cleanser, I didn't feel much tight effect and I was very happy with it. It claims that no tight feeling will be undergone and I am happy that it does what it claims. My skin feels so soft and I can actually see that my skin started to glow. My friends even said that I look glowy and radiant. They even touched my skin and said that it feels so soft. I don't know if it is with the help of the other products within the same line but after I changed to this cleanser, it gets pretty much better.

BUT! After 2 weeks of using this cleanser, my cheeks and mouth area started to get too dry and their moisturizer can't even reduce the dryness. I thought it was like healing process or something so I continued using it. After few days, the dry skin started to get flaky and it got worse. Everytime I wear make up or powder on, the flaky skin looks so obvious that my vaseline can't reduce it. It gets itchy and it burns everytime I spray their astringent on. I was started to get pretty frustrated with my skin condition but I kept my belief with this cleanser and I continued. After a week or so, I discontinued using it because my flaky skin worsen and reddish color of my skin started to appear especially around those flaky areas. And that is the reason why I still have the bottle with me. It is almost a quarter left and I never touched it since.

P/s: I'm that kind of person who is very cheap that I don't often left my beauty products unfinished unless if I have no choice. So you can see how severe it is.

My ratings:

Effectiveness: ★★☆☆☆ (2 for the starting good experience)

Bottle: ★★★★★ (its a pump bottle and hygienic)

Price: ★★★☆☆ (3 for giving me the good early experience that I thought it worth my penny but not the later)

Long term effectiveness: ☆☆☆☆☆ (yes! zero.)

Overall, I do not recommend this cleanser although you have oily skin. I have combination to oily skin and for the first time in my life I experienced dry skin. LOL. I prefer the wrinkle away cleanser better but I discontinued using this brand (including all of their other product after I finished it) since it does not give me much significant improvements. I hope these reviews help!

Regards
