RANDOM: Thoughts (English + Bahasa Malaysia)

Hello lovelies.

And yes, I can speak bahasa. Kah! Anyway, it’s been awhile since I posted any update so perhaps I might start over with a little chat about what's going on these few months.

I got an offer for my industrial training here in Kuala Lumpur in August 2014. To work with the company was my childhood dream and of course I was super excited I cried gummybears! HAHA. Internship was to be done for 6 months as part of my university’s academic requirement. Yang tak berapa nak best is kena masuk semula belajar for another semester after internship. Plus! Ada kekosongan kat my department and my boss kept asking me bila nak habis study, bulan berapa habis study like almost every week. Yes, memang sedih because end up my boss tak dapat nak offer me the vacant position sebab dia nak immediately. It was very frustrating as I heard that once kita dah tak ada attachment with the company, it’s rather difficult for them to consider us. Kiranya macam re-apply as someone new and back to square one. *duduk kat bucu* On the contrary, my experience there was amazing! The people, my boss, my colleagues, semua best. And workload pun bearable. I love every bits of it. Thank you Allah SWT and those who supported me throughout that journey.

6 months passed and I went back to school for my final semester in February 2015. On one hand, I was slightly (I guess) happy because I don’t have to deal with 9am – 6pm 5 days a week routine HAHA. Jadual class tak berapa packed pun cuma tak berjaya susun jadual untuk class 3 hari seminggu. Dapat susun sampai class 4 hari seminggu. Okaylah tu. Last semester kan. Terpaksa bersyukur. On the other hand, I felt so tua. Couldn’t gang up with my batch mates sebab remaining subjects berbeza beza. My remaining subjects majority subject yang sepatutnya diambil waktu semester 1. But I dropped them for fun! HAHA. So end up, my classmates were like “omg kena panggil kakak ke ni?” and I just did my straight face to indicate a complete NO. To top it off, sebab I was rather “kakak” dalam class, diorang banyak jugak bertanya about other subjects. I went from kakak to academic advisor in a blink. But I’m not saying I wasn’t happy about it, actually I felt good to help! My final semester was super hectic. Excessive assignments by every lecturer, short datelines, quizzes, tests. But Alhamdulillah, after all the struggles, everything went pretty well and Alhamdulillah my final semester GPA is within expectation (only slightly tiny meenie bit lower than expectation).

Oh, I have a mandarin subject to be completed. It was supposed to be completed during my 2nd semester but I dropped the subject and save it for later. So that was when I decided to undergo short semester after my final semester for that mandarin subject of 1 credit hour. Yes, everyone kept telling me it's just one credit hour! But I really want to score well for the subject so terjadilah keputusan sedemikian. Hehe. It was the best decision ever! My lecturer, Sir Lee was super helpful! I couldn’t do it without him. I enjoyed the class superbly and it was rather sad that the class only lasted for 7 weeks. Alhamdulillah result was as expected and tadaa! Here I am, completed my bachelor degree with flying colors and I thank Allah SWT as He eases my journey.

Sekarang tinggal tunggu convocation which will be held next month (October 2015). My parents went for Hajj until the end of October so they will not be around during my convocation. At first rasa sedih jugak lah sebab convo sorang sorang. Tapi I told myself consistently that hati kena ikhlas. So for these few months kena stay rumah jaga siblings yang masih sekolah.

On career wise, I applied to so many vacant jobs, went to several career fairs and even applied SL1M for several companies. But I still consider myself tak actively seeking sebab my parents belum balik lagi. I got an email for SL1M interview. Although I was rather reluctant to proceed as I am looking for permanent jobs instead, I refused to bermalas malasan and just went for it as I do believe rezeki itu datang dengan usaha. The interview was okay despite the fact that I am not wholeheartedly look forward to the position. There were two stages of interview in a day but I must say the difficult part was the case study presentation. And Alhamdulillah, I was accepted to be part of the company’s SL1M program. I mentioned during the interview that I can only start on November and they accepted my condition! Alhamdulillah Allah SWT eases. Additionally, I am considering the program while searching for permanent jobs. Yeay me!

Furthermore, I got an interview for a PPA program (study professional papers sambil kerja dengan Big 5 companies) under Yayasan Peneraju. There were generally 3 stages of interview. The first was with panels from Yayasan Peneraju and Sunway University. Second was with panels from Big 5 companies as well as both Yayasan Peneraju and Sunway University. Final stage is the bridging program. Alhamdulillah I succeeded the first and second stage. For the third stage, I was called upon for the bridging program which will start on the end of September and of course, I couldn’t manage to accept the offer sebab tanggungjawab kepada keluarga. Ada jugak appeal supaya dapat masuk a bit later tapi diorang tak accept any appeal. Sedih sangat because the program sangat bagus. I wanted to accept the offer tapi mungkin Allah SWT has better plans for me.

To conclude my babble of thoughts, I am really looking forward to Johor Corporation Chartered Accountant Program (JCAP) for their UK program. I can cry mountains of gummybears if I were accepted! I am hopeful for the program to bring me closer to Allah SWT by my jihad to seek for His knowledge abroad as well as building my career to support my dad’s appeal for early retirement insyaa Allah. I’ve read that there were 11 stages of assessments for JCAP and it gave me chills to realize yang rezeki Allah SWT itu ada untuk siapa siapa sahaja yang berusaha. Semoga usaha aku kalini membuahkan hasil bagi mencapai kejayaan dunia akhirat. Please pray for me and forgive me kalau ada silap cakap, grammar terabur atau pening baca  post ni. Thank you so much for reading!

Yours sincerely,
Polkalav
